Our EcoGenius of today is Cruz Erdmann: Young Wildlife Photographer

This young man resides in New Zealand, but was born and raised in Bali, where he became passionate about the wonders of the ocean thanks to the amount of time he spent diving and exploring eastern Indonesia with his parents, who work as ocean conservationists.Bali,

Erdmann has been dedicated to taking photographs of the deep sea since he was 12 years old. In 2019 he won the London Natural History Museum’s Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year title for a nighttime photo of a Bigfin reef squid, and in 2020 he won the Young Ocean Photographer of the Year award.

Erdmann is currently competing to be New Zealand’s Geographic Photographer and also persists by diving into the ocean to show the world the amazing curiosities found in the sea.
